Why is Alexa ranking so important any way? Alexa ranking is important if you’re rtying to make money from the internet via Text Link Ads, PayPerPost and the like.

Basically it’s based on how many web surfers with Alexa Toolbar installed on their web browser visit your website or blog. But some say Alexa Toolbar is some sort of spyware but I’m not sure about it. The lower the number, the better it is.
Actually i’ve implemented one of the way without knowing that it could increase Alexa ranking to my blogs. I’ve installed SearchStatus Extension for FireFox. No wonder when I first installed the extension, my ranking was more than 1 million and it have gone down to 421,241 as of the time I write this post.
Another way is to put the Alexa rank widget on your blog or your website. I just put up mine on the sidebar. Hopefully this will increase my Alexa ranking. This is because some of the opportunity at PayPerPost require specific Alexa ranking.
