How to choose good domain name?

It is highly recommended that your domain name should be related to your business in order for the visitors to easilly remember your website. This is because most internet users search by subjects not by proper name unless they already know your website domain name.
For example if your website is selling white gold but you register your domain name as johnsmith.com. Do you think people would know that you’re selling white gold? Better domain name would be johnsmithwhitegold.com but if you still insist on using your company name make sure that you have a search engine friendly “keywords”. But if you want to concentrate your business only locally you could use yourplacewhitegold.com.
Your domain name also should be unique and descriptive because it’s more memorable than generic names. Descriptive and memorable domain name are more likely to be remembered by potential customers. A lot of companies would also hyphen their domain name because it’s more readable. Your domain name can be yourplace-white-gold.com.
