a) Homepage

Basically, homepage is the introduction to your website. It may contain graphics and images to catch the visitors attention. Usually if you want to have a business website, you should have your own logo and your own USP (Unique Selling Proposition). This will differentiate you from other websites. You can also present your products or services in your homepage in order to catch the visitors attention instantly.

b) Products or services page

Present your products and services in this page and if possible provide pictures of your products if you are going to sell them. The contents in this page should be interesting and attention grabber. Bear in mind that the visitors will not waste their time on your website because they are just click away to close your website and browse to your competitors website. What you can do is to act like a sales person and present to the visitors the reasons why they should continue reading what you have to offer. The best way is to highlight the benefits they’re going to receive from your products or services and if you have your own niche products highlight your differentiator. Differentiators are characteristics of your products or services that are different from your competitors. If you want your visitors or existing customers to be kept inform regarding your new products or services, subscribe to autoresponder service.

c) Company background page

To gain trust from a potential customers, you should provide information about your company. This also apply if you’re an individual who would like to get involve in a home based business. This will inspire confidence and trust to your visitors to purchase your products.

d) Contact page

This is one of the important page in your websites. Provide your particular such as address, contact phone number, email address and other means how your visitors or customers can contact you. Place a feedback form where visitors can contact you by just filling the online form provided in your website.

e) Ordering page

Instructions on how to order your products or services via credit cards, cheque, bank-in or money order should be clearly indicated. Normally if the payment method is by credit card, the page will link to the company which provides credit card processing facility. Give assurance to the visitors that the payment is safe and secure because many internet users don’t feel secure with this method.

f) Information pages

Most internet users use the internet to look for information rather than looking for products or services. This is the most important page in your website. By providing useful information and contents and also by keeping your website updated, you could increase traffic to your website and also your ranking in the search engine. Indirectly it will increase the findability from most search engines.
