PayPal is one of eBay’s subsidiary and they offer merchant account at a very reasonable price. It’s free to set up an account with them. They accept almost all major credit cards. Check out their what they offer below:
- Convenient - No shopping cart is needed but if you already have a shopping cart, paypal is compatible with hundreds of shopping cart.
- Easy - Customers who shop on your website don’t need a PayPal account to pay you. They can pay you on PayPal either with their PayPal account or they can enter their credit card information. Payment can also be made via email.
- Affordable - You’re not required to pay any set up fee, monthly fee and you’re not bound to any contract. Their transaction fees are from 1.9% to 2.9% + USD0.30 which is considered cheap.
The only drawback with PayPal is that they only bank in the payment to anyone who have a US Bank account and applicable to certain countries only. They are not going to send cheques like what 2CO does but don’t let this stop you from enabling your website to accept payment via PayPal because eventhough you can’t cash out the payment from your account, you can still use the money in your PayPal account to buy something else through online from other websites that accept payPal.
