Third party credit card processor acts as a middle man between you and the direct processor (the bank). They receive payment from your customers and they will channel it to you either via cheque or straight into to your bank account.
To set up an account with them, usually you need to pay registration fee. They will also charge you a small percentage on sales that was made from your website as a service cost. The percentage varies from one company to another. After you open your account with them, they will give you instruction on how to integrate your order page with their system. So when your customer make a payment, the funds will be transfered to your bank account or they will issue you a cheque.
You have to be careful before you register to any third party credit card processor to prevent credit card fraud. You need a reliable company to do this. Below are the companies that you can trust to register with.
