How Adsense Works
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
Adsense is the opposite of Adwords. I’ll share more with you what is Adwords in my future post. Ads purhased through Adwords will be displayed on web pages which registered with the Adsense program.
What differentiate Adsense and the other conventional online advertisements is that you don’t have to specify in detail the topic of your web pages but the ads are still correctly targeted with relevant advertisement, whicj is similar to your websites.
A web page discussing about Cars will automatically have car or automobile ads included in the adsense system.
You only get paid when somebody clicks the ad, not each time you display the advertisement on your website. This is because Adwords prices are based on the number of clicks not the number of time the ads are displayed on your website.
The price of the Adwords bid can be very high, about $100 per click depending on their popularity. This means that the payoff for the Adsense partner who ads were displayed and got clicked will also be high. Other non-popular keywords payoff could be as little as the small percentage of $0.05, the minimum Adwords bid.
After your registration is approved, just log in and you’ll be able to configure the type of advertising that’s going to be displayed on your websites. You could also examine variety of revenue reports and performance of your websites.
Below are example of how Google Adsense looks like from my website. Adsense is the advertisement with the text Ads by Google. Everytime you click the ads, the owner of the website will get certain amount of payoff.
